Running regression tests
------------------------
Unpack openjdk-N-source package and install the openjdk-N-testsupport
package.
Change directory to the source package and execute:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jtreg-autopkgtest.sh <output-directory> <jtreg options>
to run regression tests.
The script does not set up a GUI environment. Please use
./debian/tests/jdk-autopkgtest.sh for JDK tests that require a GUI.
Some examples:
- Run specific tests:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jtreg-autopkgtest.sh output-dir \
-dir:test/hotspot/jtreg/ \
sanity/BasicVMTest.java \
runtime/6294277/SourceDebugExtension.java
- Run a group of tests (see TEST.groups for definitions):
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jtreg-autopkgtest.sh output-dir \
-dir:test/hotspot/jtreg \
:tier1
- Run all tests in the subdirectory:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jtreg-autopkgtest.sh output-dir \
test/hotspot/jtreg/runtime
or
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jtreg-autopkgtest.sh output-dir \
-dir:test/hotspot/jtreg/ \
runtime
See the jtreg manual page for the overview of jtreg options.
More information is available in OpenJDK documentation[1] and OpenJDK
developer guide[2].
Running hotspot regression tests
--------------------------------
Change directory to the source package and execute:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/hotspot-autopkgtest.sh <jtreg options>
Some examples:
- Run specific tests:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/hotspot-autopkgtest.sh \
sanity/BasicVMTest.java \
runtime/6294277/SourceDebugExtension.java
- Run a test group:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/hotspot-autopkgtest.sh \
:tier2
Running the script without any options executes tier1 hotspot tests.
Running jdk regression tests
----------------------------
Change directory to the source package and execute:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jdk-autopkgtest.sh <jtreg options>
Some examples:
- Run specific tests:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jdk-autopkgtest.sh \
java/lang/Long/GetLong.java \
java/lang/Math/TanTests.java
- Run a test group:
AUTOPKGTEST_TMP=. AUTOPKGTEST_ARTIFACTS=. \
./debian/tests/jdk-autopkgtest.sh \
:tier2
Running the script without any options executes tier1 jdk tests.
